In 2019, Samsung could release five different versions of the Galaxy S10.
This year, Samsung was said to be working on four new Galaxy S10 models. However, a new report suggests that there may be a fifth.
According to the Dutch blog TechTastic, citing sources, the fifth device will be known as the Galaxy S10 Bolt. It’s unclear how it got its name, but some key features may reveal the answer. For starters, it will operate over 5G, allowing you to connect to the ultra-fast network in areas where it is available this year. According to the report, Samsung will also include a larger battery in the Bolt. Finally, it will be available only through Verizon.
According to previous reports, Samsung planned to unveil three devices next month: the Galaxy S10 Lite, the standard Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+, the largest of the three. Later this year, Samsung was expected to unveil the Galaxy S10 5G, which would feature 5G connectivity and a 6.7-inch screen, making it larger than the Galaxy S106.4-inch +’s display.
According to the new TechTastic report, Samsung’s Galaxy S10 Bolt will take many design cues from the Galaxy S10 5G, which will most likely be carrier-agnostic. Indeed, the device is expected to come with a 6.7-inch screen and, like the others, will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 in the United States. It will also most likely include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It may also have a ceramic finish.
There are still unanswered questions. According to the TechTastic report, there is no word on when the device will be released or how much it will cost. But, if it’s true — and we don’t know if it is — expects to hear more in the coming weeks.
