As 2022 approaches, more information about Samsung’s 2023 smartphone lineup becomes available. The South Korean company may release new Galaxy A series smartphones in 2023, including the Galaxy A14 5G, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A74. Today, additional information regarding the Galaxy A14 5G was disclosed, including its processor, display, and Android version.
The Galaxy A14 5G has been spotted in the Google Play Console for developers (via MyFixGuide). The listing reveals that the smartphone will feature an Exynos 1330 processor with two ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz, and the ARM Mali-G68 GPU with two cores and a 950MHz clock speed. The device appears to have 6GB RAM, Android 13, and a 6.8-inch display with a Full HD resolution (probably with a 90Hz refresh rate).
The Exynos 1330 should perform significantly better than the Exynos 850 chip used in the Galaxy A13, based on these specifications. It should also outperform the MediaTek Diminutive 700 chipset utilized by the Galaxy A13 5G. The unannounced Exynos 1330 appears to have a faster CPU and a significantly faster GPU than the Exynos 850 and the Dimensity 700. It implies that Samsung’s affordable smartphone for 2023 will be significantly faster than its predecessors.
The Galaxy A14 5G is also anticipated to include a 13MP front-facing camera, a triple-camera setup on the rear (with a 50MP rear camera), 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C port, a 5,000mAh battery, and 15W quick charging. In addition, the phone appears to feature a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
