In November and December, Samsung rolled out the Android 13 update (One UI 5.0) to all Galaxy Z Flip variants. Now, the company is deploying the security patch for December 2022 to the foldable smartphone. The latest update is currently rolling out to the Sprint (CDMA) carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip in the United States.
The most recent firmware version for the Galaxy Z Flip is F700USQS5HVL2, which includes a security patch for December 2022 that addresses 93 security vulnerabilities. In the coming days, the other smartphone variants should also begin receiving the most recent security updates.
Typically, the phone will notify you when a software update is available. If it hasn’t, you can manually check for updates by navigating to Settings » Software updates and clicking Download and install. You can also manually flash the update downloaded from our database.
In 2020, Samsung released the Galaxy Z Flip with Android 10 and One UI 2.0 preinstalled. Since then, it has received Android 11 and Android 12 updates and is currently running One UI 5.0 software based on Android 13. The Galaxy Z Flip will not receive the Android 14 update because Samsung has pledged to provide only three major Android OS updates.
