A listing on Samsung’s website confirms the upcoming release of the Galaxy Buds Pro.
If you’ve been wondering how Samsung will compete with Apple’s popular AirPods Pro, the answer is that new Galaxy Buds are imminent. The leak originates directly from Samsung.
Samsung Canada briefly posted information about the Galaxy Buds Pro over the weekend, a pair of wireless earbuds rumored to be in development as Apple AirPods Pro competitors. The listing has been removed as of this morning (January 3), but it was up long enough for shoppers with keen eyesight to realize that the release of the new earbuds is imminent.
According to rumors, the Galaxy Buds Pro is Samsung’s premium earbuds. Anticipated features include active noise cancellation, 3D audio to compete with Apple’s spatial audio feature, and an ambient mode that will allow you to hear surrounding conversations. Dolby Atmos support could also be added to the Galaxy Buds Pro.
The Galaxy Buds Pro listing on the Samsung Canada website contained little information regarding these features. The only information displayed was the product’s name and model number. We have no price information for the forthcoming earbuds.
Fortunately, other sources have informed us of the Galaxy Buds Pro’s expected price. An earlier rumor stated that the Galaxy Buds Pro would cost $199, a $50 discount from the AirPods Pro.
We could soon learn what features and at what price the Galaxy Buds Pro will offer. The new earbuds are anticipated to debut alongside the Galaxy S21 lineup, and Samsung has confirmed that a product launch will take place on January 14. At that time, we expect to see both the new phone and the Galaxy Buds Pro.
