The South Korean tech giant Samsung is the official smartphone partner of the Snapdragon Pro Series, one of the largest multi-title mobile e-sports leagues. Qualcomm announced Samsung as its presenting partner for the Snapdragon Pro Series in 2023 at the Snapdragon Summit 2022 in Hawaii.
This is an additional collaborative milestone for both companies. As part of this partnership, Snapdragon Pro Series competitors will utilize Samsung Galaxy smartphones for competitions through Snapdragon Masters 2024. The Snapdragon Pro Series will be branded by Samsung in multiple regions, including North America, India, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
According to the official announcement, beginning with the Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Challenge Finals at DreamHack Valencia, competitors at the Mobile Challenge and Mobile Masters levels will exclusively use Snapdragon-powered Samsung flagship Galaxy devices. The mobile e-sports event includes competitions for popular games including Clash of Clans, Asphalt 9 Legends, Brawl Stars, Garena Free Fire, League of Legends: Wild Hunt, and PUBG Mobile.
Stephanie Choi, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Marketing at Samsung, stated, “We’re committed to putting high-performance Samsung Galaxy devices powered by Snapdragon in the hands of billions of gamers worldwide to promote both camaraderie and competition.”
Although it is unconfirmed which Samsung Galaxy devices will be utilized during Snapdragon Pro Series events, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy S22 Ultra will likely be in the hands of competitors. Due to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and high refresh rate screens found on both devices, they are among the best gaming devices.
This mobile e-sports event will showcase not only the efforts of both companies to advance mobile technology in the e-sports world but also the gaming prowess of Galaxy devices. You can visit this site for more information about the Snapdragon Pro Series.
