The introduction of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 spawned some of the most powerful, yet enormous, graphics cards we’ve ever seen. In November, a Chinese graphics card manufacturer displayed renders of an RTX 4090 with a blower cooler and NVIDIA reference specifications. Now, images of what appear to be shipping variants of this product have surfaced on Chinese retail channels. In other words, an RTX 4090 with a blower-style cooler has been manufactured and is available for purchase. In the image above, a person is seen holding one of these RTX 4090 blower graphics cards, and in the lower left corner, you can see that it is part of a pallet load that is ready to ship.
These new images of the real world were obtained from a Chinese online marketplace known as Goofish. There are photographs depicting the front, top, and back of the blower card, as well as the PCB’s underside. The plastic film has been applied in some of the images to prevent the cooling assembly from being scratched during transport. The images are consistent with the previously viewed renders, which were said to have originated from an insider at China’s Manli. However, VideoCardz reports that Manli has contacted them in the interim. It denied any connection to the renderings and is therefore unlikely to be the source of these actual products. There are no brand names visible in any of the new product photographs. NVIDIA was believed to have discouraged AIB partners from retailing RTX 3090 blower-style designs, so perhaps this is why Manli denies involvement and there is no brand name on these products.
Images reveal a dual-slot GPU, a blower shroud equipped with a single fan, and a single 16-pin (12VHPWR) power connector. The product reportedly includes a 3x-8pin power connector adaptor (not 4x). This is not intended for an audience that wishes to overclock the GPU and thus requires additional power. According to VideoCardz, which obtained the exclusive image displayed below, this card has a maximum TDP of 450W.
The China Goofish listing for one of these RTX 4090 graphics cards requests 15,000 RMB, which is roughly equivalent to USD 2,150. This is expensive in China, where “entry-level” RTX 4090 models cost closer to 13,000 RMB. We are uncertain if these prices include China’s 13% sales tax.
As we mentioned in our previous article regarding the possibility of RTX 4090 blower-style graphics cards, these should be able to operate in cases with adequate ventilation without causing too much concern. The cooler’s design may also appeal to PC owners whose cases are incompatible with other air cooling solutions, as well as users who wish to install multiple graphics cards side-by-side.
