Samsung began rolling out the December 2022 security update to its smartphones two days ago. The new security patch has been applied to the Galaxy A90, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy Z Fold 4. Now, Samsung’s third-generation foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 will receive the new update.
The most recent software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is firmware version F711BXXS3DVKB, whereas the Galaxy Z Fold 3 receives firmware version F926BXXS2DVKB. The new security patch is currently being rolled out in Europe, and we anticipate that it will expand to other regions of the world in the coming days.
In Europe, Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 owners can now install the latest security patch on their devices. To accomplish this, go to Settings » Software update and select Download and install. You can also manually flash the new firmware file by manually downloading it from our database.
Samsung recently released the One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 based on Android 13. The devices debuted with Android 12 last year. Samsung’s monthly security update bulletin indicates they will receive two more Android OS updates in the future.
