The Tom’s Guide team is returning to Las Vegas for CES 2019 in January! To celebrate, we’re giving away two toy robots with AI intelligence and adorable robot charm.
If you haven’t heard of the Consumer Electronics Show, it’s one of the most exciting gatherings of gadgets, technology, apps, and digital tools in the US. It’s the global debut of what’s new in smartphones, TVs, home appliances, smart-home gadgets, and thousands of other electronic gadgets this year. It’s not a big deal.
But, to be honest, it’s a big deal. This is a huge deal. Every January, 180,000 tech experts congregate in the desert to get an exclusive look at what the future holds for all of your favorite technologies — drones, laptops, tablets, audio gear, smart-home technology, and everything else.
This includes things you could never have imagined. We’ll get sneak peeks at meatless hamburgers, hover boots, voice-assisted toilets, and paper-thin TV sets with massive screens next week. What do we mean by exciting?
We’re giving away some of our toys to celebrate all of the wonderful new toys. After we finish covering CES 2019, two lucky winners will receive their very own robots!
We understand. There are numerous robots in the world. Data. Hal 9000. The Borg race as a whole. Bender. The Sentinels. Amazon. Zuckerberg, Mark. Which particular circuit-brained critter are we discussing? Vector is the four-wheeled Wall-E clone.
Vector is a $250 tech toy built by Anki, the maker of the Cosmo toy robot. It has an AI brain that allows it to learn behaviors and environments and then adapt accordingly. It enjoys having its head scratched, frequently requests fist bumps from its owners, will occasionally dance for your romantic partner and can tell you the weather when asked.
