Since its release in early 2011, the graphical calculator fx-CG10 / 20, better known as Casio Prizm, is one of the few that has won the respect of many students and teachers graphical calculators of the Texas Instruments brand.

Since the first highlight of the Prizm calculator, Casio has chained promotional advertising presenting the Casio Prizm as a real competitor of the TI-Nspire. I do not think there is any doubt that the Prizm calculator has continued to be so lucky since the release of the great TI-Npire CX a  few months later. When it was first put in the store, I, of course, procured the calculator fx-CG10 to test it and make a complete review on my website. I have used it a lot in recent years, and I must admit that I was very impressed by this Casio Prizm.

For whom Casio Prizm is made?

This was the question we all asked when announcing the release of the Prizm. The Casio Prizm was not going to be the first graphical color calculator on the market, but probably the one with much better quality than all the other models previously released.

Casio Prizm’s capabilities regarding resolution, color scheme, and photo ability have changed the face of the graphing calculator market, even ahead of Texas Instruments color calculators for nearly six months. Taking into account the huge popularity of the high screen resolutions of iPods (and other similar devices) as well as their price almost equivalent to that of the Prizm, you will understand why it took so great for people to see it. In my opinion, the Casio Prizm is the only graphical calculator that can dare to compete with the popular Texas Instruments series. The Casio Prizm is attractive, easy to use, powerful, and does not hurt because it is one of the great graphical calculators on the market.
