7 month baby milestones – 7 month baby care tips

The seventh month of life: Do you like to sing? Then you will notice that your baby recognizes one or the other song and is happy when you recite it. If it is connected with rhymes or a certain sequence of movements, babies usually cannot get enough of it. Knowing what’s next will give many babies a special treat from the seventh month onwards.

Develop yourself playfully

In addition to nursery rhymes and finger games, you can also do gymnastics together with your child. If you gently put it on your feet and hold it tight, you will notice that it is beginning to shift weight to its legs. Some jump right on it and visibly enjoy the power of their legs. Even sitting works better with most in the seventh month. But do not let your baby sit completely alone.

It is still a great effort for many babies to control back and neck muscles as well as holding their comparatively heavy head. If a baby falls over in the sitting position, it is not ready for sitting alone. Also, make sure that it can not fall on a toy at an unobserved moment. Although most baby toys have rounded edges, they can still cause bruises when they fall over.

The toy out of the reach of your baby gives him more incentive to move to the things that interest him. Some babies learn so quickly to roll into the objects of desire. Others can turn around in a circle or supine, and some are already strong and skilled enough to crawl to the toy of choice.

Even if your baby is sometimes frustrated because it does not immediately come to a distant toy. Do not give it to him right away. Encourage it just to keep trying. This will give your child more self-confidence in the long run for discovering the world of the seal, crawling in a few months running.

Well sorted

When playing, many babies discover how certain things belong together and try it out. For example, it can be observed that in the seventh-month blocks are sorted by size. Likewise, most babies recognize the common look in the mirror, that it is only a mirror image. “Cuckoo Games” as well as the hiding and retrieving of toys now seem particularly funny.

The first teeth

For some, they are already there, for others, they are still waiting: the first teeth. Already at four or five months, some babies already get the first tooth. Around the seventh month, most parents gain the first teething experiences. During this time, many feel relegated to the time shortly after birth, as their small teeth often provide for nights of sleep. To relieve the pain of teething, various home remedies have proven effective, but they do not work equally well for every baby. Promising ones include:

  • Chewing on a washcloth soaked in cold water or tea. Chamomile and sage tea also have an anti-inflammatory effect.
  • Massaging the gums with home-made tooth oil. Mix a drop of chamomile with a tablespoon of organic rapeseed oil.
  • Biting on a teether or special baby toothbrush sets
  • Proximity and distraction.

Trust in the teething of your powers of observation and instinct. In most cases, you’ll see so quickly what’s best for helping your teething baby. Teething problems can also be treated homeopathically. Consult homeopathic remedies but always in consultation with their pediatrician. Pharmacies offer againstToothache pain often causes chamomile glands, which temporarily reduce pain.

No no no…

Especially parents, who collect their first experiences with their child, are often astonished. After just six to seven months, the time has come for babies to test the behavior of their parents and other caregivers. However, this does not happen to annoy you. Rather, the little ones want to pursue their curiosity and research zeal.

Even if you know that you are not allowed to have mom’s smartphone, it seems very interesting or even more interesting. Also, it is also exciting to see what happens if the “no” of mom or dad is ignored. It’s all about watching reactions; babies do not manipulate or “test boundaries.”

Useful for babies 7th-month

high chair

Once the child can sit on their own, they can sit in a high chair at the family table for a meal. In a bucket seat even small babies, who are not yet able to sit themselves, are safe. When traveling and on the move, a table seat that can be easily screwed to the table is suitable.

In the first attempts to eat the baby often goes wrong. Therefore, a bib is ideal to protect the clothes from stains. The bibs with the cute motifs are easily bound, closed with velcro, or have little sleeves to slip into.

Dental care

As soon as the first teeth appear, the dental care of the baby becomes important. With a baby toothbrush, you can gently cleanse the teeth and get the baby used to this process. Teething rings help with sore gums during teething.
