How to fast-charge your smartphone or tablet

You are preparing to leave your home or office in 20 minutes, and the battery on your smartphone is nearly dead. Here’s how to load it with the most energy in the shortest time.
This is the best method I’ve discovered, and it works for iPhone and Android smartphones, iPads, and other tablets.

#1: Use a high-quality, effective charger

The iPad charger is one of the fastest chargers I own, and I use it to charge almost all of my devices because it reduces the time they are tethered to a cord.
And the disparity is quite astounding. Using the supplied iPhone charger, my iPhone 6S Plus takes over three hours to charge from empty to full, whereas using an iPad charger only takes about two hours.
I do not believe that fast-charging devices negatively impact battery life (the charging circuits controlling modern batteries are very good). I’ve been doing this for years without incident.
However, if you’re still hesitant, use the charger that came with your device.

#2: Put the device into airplane mode

This prevents the device from consuming its battery while being charged. In airplane mode, devices charge approximately twice as quickly as in normal mode.

#3: Remove any cases

This is especially true for thick rubber cases, as batteries charge more slowly as the temperature rises. In addition, it is wise to charge the device in a cool location.

#4: Leave the device alone while it’s charging!

Resist the temptation to check the charging status every few minutes because every time you activate the screen or use Wi-Fi, you’re wasting precious battery life!

#5: Carry a small portable battery pack

A small pack such as the Anker PowerCore mini carries enough power to charge an iPhone 6S in about two hours entirely, yet is small enough to fit in a pocket (remember the cable!).

  • Nokia T20 Budget Android Tablet With Fast Charging.

Quick Charge 3.0 is currently the world’s fastest and most efficient phone and tablet-charging technology—able to charge devices up to 85% faster than standard chargers. After just 10 minutes charging, a Quick Charge phone can be used for up to 8 hours.

Your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or other device will all need to use the same fast charging standard. In some cases, even your cable will need to be compatible with the fast charging standard used in your device and charger.

Adaptive Fast Charging cables have a squared USB-A port. You can use the standard USB-A to USB-C cable for this. Super Fast Charging chargers have an oval USB-C port. If you want to charge with this one, you need a cable with 2 USB-C connectors.

However, the heat generated during rapid charging is the main cause of reducing a battery’s life. Heat is unavoidable even for slow charging.

Fast charging makes it easier to top up your battery every time you feel a need to boost. Considering the increasing amount of time we spend on our devices, and how it’s becoming difficult for a single charge to last all day, fast charging is more essential than ever.

Does fast charging damage my battery? You’d think with all that extra power there could be a risk to your battery. From our findings though, fast charging doesn’t cause any more damage to your phone than standard charging. It will get hotter, but not at extreme enough levels that would cause noticeable harm.

They should no longer exist if you previously had any doubts about fast charging. Fast charging, regardless of the technology employed, has no real drawbacks. There have been no reports of shorter battery life associated with fast-charging devices, and aside from the additional heat generated during charging, there are no other discernible side effects. Suppose you’re concerned about exploding phones or fried batteries.

In that case, you shouldn’t be, as the power regulator in your phone ensures that the battery receives only what it can handle (although you should avoid fast-charging generic chargers, as there’s no telling if they’ll catch fire). It is also perfectly safe to use a fast charger with a non-compatible device; however, the device will only charge as fast as before.

The competition’s winner is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 5G with quick-charging technology, which is present in most of Oppo’s other smartphones. The massive power delivery and Oppo’s distinctive battery cell structure make the N3 the fastest-charging smartphone. This does not negatively impact the battery’s ability to retain a charge, as the N3 also had the most extended battery life.
