One finds – if one is lucky – two different variants of the Nerf Longshot: The normal N-Strike in yellow / orange and the N-Strike Elite in blue / orange. Otherwise, this blaster is mainly one: big! With more than 91cm, he is one of the biggest nerfs at all and is so impressive. Especially, this model also has the front part of the weapon is a small detachable blaster. Right behind this second blaster sits the two-legged, which gives the shooter the necessary stability during the shot. On the carrying handle is a Tactical rail and load inhibitions are removed quite comfortably with retracted tension lever, which is on the side.

Technology

The Nerf Longshot must be made ready for fire after each shot with a lever – batteries are not needed. On the inside, Hasbro placed a direct piston, which brings both reliability and tuning potential. Overall, the technology of Longshot is simple but robust and very flexible.

Modding

The tactical track is home to the small target telescope. At this point, of course, the usual extensions can be attached at will. Otherwise, it looks may rather – but only, if one is oriented on the officially available accessories. There are of course no limits to the resourceful modder.

Tuning

If you want to give your Nerf Sniper a bit more steam, then a new, stronger spring is probably the right thing for you. You have to bring some craftsmanship, but it is worth it in my opinion. Especially with the longshot, which in the normal version is somewhat weak – to the same more – is so a small range boost very appropriate. Here you will find everything you need to know about: Nerf Tuning .

The Nerf Longshot CS-6 – The classic under the Nerf Sniper !:

The N-Strike Longshot CS-6 can be heard with a lot of spectacles. According to some vendors would probably be 30 meters range with this Nerf Sniper possible. The aim telescope and the stability-maintaining stands are intended to increase the target accuracy. Whether it is true what is told, we write you as usual in our Nerf Gun Review.

As the title already says we will write this review about the Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6. As the new model is very similar to the classic yellow model, you can also read this review if you are interested in the N-Strike 2in1 Longshot CS-6.

Design and ergonomics

The Nerf Longshot CS-6 comes in a Nerf usual package. Due to the above-average size, however, it is wrapped in several individual parts. Therefore, you must first assemble it before you can start correctly – so completely for hobbyists but😉 do not worry, that goes ratzfatz within a few minutes. The package includes Blaster (Blaster), Blaster (Front gun), Telescope, Loader, Infectious Handle, Magazine and 6 Foam Darts. The Nerf Longshot CS-6 is one of the largest / longest nerfs without modding influence. There is a Tactical Rail on the main blaster to which you can attach the target telescope (until it black). In the lower area, two stand stops are attached, which can be set up manually and thus serve as a support/stand – similar to what we already know from other blasters. As you can see, the Longshot CS-6 consists of two parts – a rear and a front. Both can also be used individually as Nerf pistols. Therefore, the front part is called simply the only front gun. Together, the two parts then give the N-Strike Longshot CS-6. The magazine comes with the clip system and has only to be plugged in. To save you further details about the assembly: The package also includes a brief guide to assembling the Nerf Longshot. It is not necessary, however, since the whole is quite intuitive.

A reserve magazine can also be stored in the shoulder support. This is usually not included in the initial purchase. So either you have another one in stock, or you can buy a second magazine extra. You also can put larger magazines in the blaster, should you the 6er magazine is not enough. Please note, however, that the Blaster cannot be put on the floor with extended legs. In its first version, you will find the Nerf Longshot in the classic N-Strike colors yellow and orange with gray and black accents. There are now also versions in the eliteColors blue, orange, silver, black and rare cases a red version of the Nerf Longshot. No matter what version, we all like it very well. Ultimately, it depends on the particular preference which of the color combinations it prefers.

Ber of the blue version must be careful when buying. Many sellers say that this is an N-Strike Elite model. Even though the Nerf Longshot looks like an elite in the blue-orange color combination, it continues to be an N-Strike Blaster.

What is particularly nice because of the size of the Longshot: you find in some places the possibility to offer a shoulder strap. Both handles of the Blaster feel good in the hand and also the processing in the Nerf typical quality on a good level. In contrast to the Zombie-Longshot CS-12, in which the Front gun is missing, the Nerf Longshot is a real longshot as you can easily see in the direct comparison. The good thing about it is that you can have two blasters in one and can do as you like.

It is also nice that the front gun can be exchanged for other running extensions – for example from the Elite Retaliator. This allows the most diverse versions to be created. On top of the main blaster, you will also find a sliding device above, to remove jammed darts – if it does occur, which is rather rare.

Handling and performance of the Nerf Longshot

Let’s get to the performance of the Nerf N-Strike Longshot and the really important part of this review. Concerning. The fire rate should not expect much from a Nerf Sniper. We do not do that, and we are not annoyed by the little more than a dart arrow per second. This is quite acceptable for a sniper rifle.

The rear shoulder support is adjustable and can be individually adjusted to your preferences and your situation – depending on how much space you just have. She offers a nice support but always. Especially in Nerf Battles, it can be quite useful to have a second magazine at all times. You can simply plug it in there. The main magazine can be easily packed. To remove, you must pull the load pin back and press the release button.

From a Nerf Sniper, you should expect some range. Do you remember that we said some vendors advertise with a range of 30 feet? This is perfect nonsense – do not let anything tell you. Perhaps the provider has also just translated the 30-foot specification directly into meters (30 feet are good 9 meters). Do you remember our review about the Zombie Longshot? Here, we have already barked strongly over the range of sniper ratios meager 15 meters. Well – unfortunately, the Nerf Longshot CS-6 does not continue. At a straight shot, we have seen an average range of 10 meters with a 12-meter tip. With an angled posture, we had reached a fairly decent maximum range with 20 meters, but on average we came here also on only about 16 meters, which we also note in our statistics. Especially since you can almost forget the goal with angled attitude.

It is good that other people are disturbed by this range. So it is possible with the tuning spring of Blasterparts the range almost already triple(for approx. 12.50 including installation instructions). This also gives you a significant range for a Nerf sniper rifle. The tuning spring should however only be installed if you want to use the longshot also outdoor. For the apartment, you need not more than a few meters, and the N-Strike Longshot CS-6 is quite sufficient. Due to the “short” range, it is not surprising that the Nerf Longshot can at least score points in accuracy.

Conclusion On the Longshot CS-6

For the price, there is certainly better blaster, but no Nerf Longshot CS-6. And the blaster contains a lot of material and stands with its name for the sniper class of nerfs. In any case, this Blaster is worth more than the Zombie Longshot CS-12.

For fun at home, she suffers, and ALL SMALLS will make ALL THE LARGE EYES when you bring them this package home! And if you want to participate in Nerf Battles, you can also buy the tuning pen for small money and make your N-Strike Longshot a real Nerf Sniper! 😉The modding of the spring goes even in a relatively short time.

In short, the standard version is quite sufficient for the little ones. For the big, we recommend a little modding.
