Serve with child care

No matter what is on the table, some children want to be enthusiastic. Present a dish, for example, in the form of a face: from the sausage, the mouth, tomato slices become eyes, grated carrots form the hair.

Unloved carrots can be served raw or cooked in the form of French fries, instead of mayonnaise, yogurts are added, or a fish can swim between colorful vegetable islands.

Another quick variant is milk rice. You need round grain rice, milk and a pinch of salt. With vanilla, you can refine the whole thing. The milk rice is boiled briefly, after which it should still swell for a few minutes at low heat. If necessary, taste it with some sugar to sweeten the meal.

Each serving is served in a small bowl. Again, a funny face can be conjured up, sugar and cinnamon or compote.

Tasty: ham maces

They need carrots and potatoes, thin slices of low-fat ham, milk, some butter and, depending on taste, Parmesan cheese. Salt and nutmeg are suitable for seasoning.

Carrots and potatoes are peeled, the potatoes also quartered, and boiled in salt water. The potatoes are then topped with milk, butter, and a little nutmeg to mash. The cooked carrots are each wrapped with a slice of thin ham and are put into the oven at about 180 ° C for 10 to 15 minutes.

All the ingredients are now dressed like a face on the plate: a carrot is the nose, mouth, and eyes are each made from mashed potatoes. With grated Parmesan, the nose gets a few summer shoots. Carrots can also be added from raw grated carrots. What would your child want to eat first?
